The October real estate market statistics are now out. The average sale prices (for each of Single Family Houses, Condos and average Residential homes), and number of new listings and sales for the Edmonton MLS system are down from last month, which is typical as we get closer to December and a Christmas slowdown. However, the numbers are still a bit above where they were in October of 2008. This is now the second month in a row where the average prices have been above the same month in 2008 (September’s average residential price was 0.7% higher than Sept 08, and that was the first time since March of 2008 compared to 2007).
