Another expert source is saying Edmonton real estate is on the rise again, and we may be heading into another boom if the economic indicators continue they way they are. “I’ve studied this for 19 years and I have not seen this strong of a perfect storm before.” says Don Campbell. 18-24 months from now may be looking like 2006/2007 again.

The news in the last couple of days has reported good things for the Edmonton real estate market.
First, CMHC has released the Spring 2010 edition of their Housing Market Outlook for Edmonton. For the resale market, they are predicting an increase in sales over 2009 and continued improvements through 2011. “Total sales should reach 19,250 units this year, representing a slight gain over 2009” (19,139 units). The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA), which operates the REALTOR.ca website used by millions across Canada to search MLS listings for properties for sale, has announced a new beta version of mobile.REALTOR.ca for people to look up property information on the go.
